NON QUI, NON ORA

Laddove i più rifuggono il presente e quando il mondo è sempre altrove, “ora” e “qui” perdono di significato e la presenza diventa un bene raro, si estingue.
Gli indicali “qui” e “ora” sono espressioni linguistiche il cui significato dipende dal contesto. “Qui” significa “in questo luogo”, ovvero il luogo in cui io (colui o colei che utilizza tale espressione nel discorso o nel pensiero) mi trovo ora: il luogo che in questo momento sto percependo ed esperendo, il luogo che mi è ora presente e in cui io sono presente ora. “Ora” significa “in questo momento”, ovvero l’istante che sto vivendo, quello in cui sto percependo e pensando: l’istante che scandisce il mio esperire e l’unico ad esistere, per me.
In un mondo di dispositivi e virtuali reti sociali, percezione, pensiero ed esperienza divergono di nuovo dal reale, divenendo vuoti contenitori, e gli indicali smarriscono il loro significato. Mai qui, in nessun luogo ora. Non rimane che farsi vivere addosso una vita evanescente, prigionieri di un’infinita ma piatta potenzialità, dove le priorità s’invertono, o collassano su una superficie omogenea, sterminata, ripida e scivolosa, che risucchia e inghiotte, come un buco nero.

    Where most people shy away from the present and when the world is always elsewhere, "now" and "here" lose their meaning and presence, a rare commodity, becomes extinct.
    The indices "here" and "now" are linguistic expressions whose meaning depends on the context. "Here" means "in this place," that is, the place in which I (the one or the one who uses such an expression in speech or thought) am now: the place that I am currently perceiving and experiencing, the place that is now present to me and in which I am now present. "Now" means "in this moment", that is, the instant I am living, the instant in which I am perceiving and thinking: the instant that marks my experiencing and the only one to exist, for me.

    In a world of devices and virtual social networks, perception, thought and experience diverge again from the real, becoming empty containers, and the indexicals lose their meaning. Never here, nowhere now. There is nothing left but to live an evanescent life, prisoners of an infinite but flat potential, where priorities are reversed, or collapse on a homogeneous surface, endless, steep and slippery, that suck and swallow, like a black hole.
